UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO
I am an Associate Professor of Political Science at the University of New Mexico where I study and teach American politics and political communication. My research draws on scholarship in political behavior, media effects, social media & information technology, and public policy.
My research generally centers in political communication and focuses on questions relating to how digital media technologies generate new affordances and how these affordances impact individual-level perceptions and behavior. I am particularly interested in the study of incidental exposure to political information through non-traditional sources including social media and entertainment.
